Welcome to our story!
We are Alisha and Toby, the faces behind the blog!
Our story began when we met through work nights out (in the club, although Toby will deny this if you ever ask him!) whilst working at the same company in 2015 and eventually decided to give ‘us’ a go in 2017, dreamy right?!
After working through several jobs in Corporate, we made a huge decision to try something new! Our first idea was to move straight from the UK to Australia to begin working life there. But – it very quickly dawned on us that we actually wanted a break from Corporate to explore the world and embrace a period of freedom.
After 8 months of planning, on 11th September 2024, we left the UK, having sold most of our possessions and reduced ourselves down to the bags on our backs and a few small boxes in an attic space!
And so a new chapter of our story began – a journey of a lifetime!
A journey which has taken us to dream bigger, think broader and hope for more – join our story as we journey towards time and location independence, bringing you useful tips along the way!

Hi! We are Alisha and Toby -
At 34, we made the bold decision to leave our stable corporate jobs and embark on a journey of self-discovery and adventure. With backgrounds in procurement and engineering project management, we felt trapped in a cycle that no longer fulfilled us. Our passion for travel and desire for a life of freedom led us to create TwoJourneyOn, where we chronicle our experiences and inspire others to live life on their own terms, as we pursue our dreams for the same.
